The problem

What the customer needed

The customer wanted some pretty poor brickwork at the back of their house covered up. Tired or patchy brickwork is a common reason people look at rendering, and there is usually more than one way to do it depending on the wall, the budget and the look they are after.

Rather than quote for the first idea, Dean went through the other options available, some of which the customer had not been aware of.

What we did

How the job was done

The wall was prepared with the masonry repaired where needed and the surface cleaned and primed. Beads were fixed at the edges and corners and mesh applied where the wall was most likely to move.

A base coat was applied and ruled flat, then the finish coat applied and the reveals and edges finished cleanly, leaving the back of the house with one even, tidy surface in place of the old brickwork.

The result

How it turned out

The customer described Dean as the only tradesman they know they can rely on, and said he always responds to requests.
