“On pricing this job, the customer used an 'experienced tradesman' who used a steamer to remove wallpaper from plasterboard walls and they were removing the jointing tape and the skin from the plasterboard, thus leaving an unlevel surface. I suggested reboarding but they said they didn't have a lot of money to play with. While the 'tradesman' was removing the wallpaper the customer demanded via text that I go that very minute to see what a mess this tradesman was making. While we were working, her husband commented on how we were the best tradesmen they'd had, as we just got on with the job. I'd mistakingly missed out a price for a ceiling, so I skimmed that for no extra charge as the price had already been agreed. (No mention of this was in her review however). We always ask customers to check the work before we leave and both said they were 'over the moon' with the work and they paid via bank transfer a few hours after I'd left. It's clear the 'tradesman' hasn't prepped the newly plastered walls properly, as the paint has now blebbed. That's not a fault with the plastering, but with the lack of preparation on the decorator's behalf. It took 7 days for the customer to let me know she wasn't happy (and that was after the walls had been painted!).”

Dene and his team worked 12 hrs a day as my Tennent went on holiday for 2 weeks and it was all done for their return, Dene even managed to do decorating and flooring too in my budget. Brilliant job by all the team.”

Dean came out when he said he would and was the only one I felt confident had looked properly at the issues and actually knew what he was talking about! Came out today to do the job. Again, turned up when he said he would and just got on with it. I was even able to continue working at my computer in the next room without much disruption! very happy with the work, and will definitely use again (already agreed next job!”

Dean was willing to explain everything at every stage, even when unexpected problems occurred and helped and advised with unexpected problems that were found. They turned up on time every day and I appreciated the clean up job every night. Kept the mess and disruption to an absolute minimum. Also took away all rubbish. He visited the house, checked out the scope of the work, explained the best course of action and his recommendations of what to do. The recommendations were fair and unlike other tradesmen we've used in the past, covered the work that needed to be done and not additional extras to bump the price up. The work was started on time, with no fuss and as agreed from the outset. We had joists and floorboards replaced throughout downstairs and whilst, as it's an old house things don't always go to plan, nothing was a problem and they were honest and direct and we managed to negotiate a few hurdles between us. The damp course was also completed as required. All work is now completed and we have actually arranged for them to return to do some additional works on the house. More than happy with the service and the quality of work that 'Absolutely Plastered' completed in our home. Thank you so much and for anyone considering this company to quote for their works, we would whole heartedly recommend them.”

It has cost us a lot more than we were quoted as the plasterer has had to fill all of the walls and sand them. I've not got one smooth wall. They look shocking!.”
