A garage conversion finished in two weeks
A landlord needed a garage converted at short notice while their tenant was on holiday. It was done in two weeks, decorated and floored, within budget.
What the customer needed
The customer advertised for a garage conversion at short notice. Their tenant was going on holiday for two weeks, and the brief was to have the garage turned into a finished room before they came back.
A conversion is a full sequence of trades in one small space, so the challenge was the timescale as much as the work itself.
How the job was done
The garage was stripped out and the structure assessed, then the first-fix work was done: insulation, stud walls and everything that has to be in place before the walls are closed up.
Plasterboard was fitted, taped and skimmed, and skirting, architrave and door linings followed. The team worked twelve-hour days to hold the date, and with the room finished there was still room in the budget to decorate and lay the flooring too.
How it turned out
Everything was complete for the tenant's return. The customer said they did not expect it done so quickly, and called it a brilliant job by all the team.

“Advertised for a garage conversion at short notice did not expect to get it done so quickly. Dene and his team worked 12 hrs a day as my Tennent went on holiday for 2 weeks and it was all done for their return, Dene even managed to do decorating and flooring too in my budget. Brilliant job by all the team.”
